Orphaned at the age of 13 years, Ernesto Cortazar the 2nd determined to uphold the legacy left behind by his father, Ernesto Cortazar the 1st. By the time Ernesto was 19 his music was recognised with an award for the score of the movie “Laughter of the City”. After this first achievement in the film industry, Ernesto went on to compose music for over 500 films in his career. Aside from scoring music for film he also composed and recorded music for such artists as, Enrique Guzman, Cesar Costa, Alberto Vasquez, Marco Antonio Muсiz, Jose Jose, Manoella Torres, and lately Alejandro Fernandez.
His live music performances have taken him around the globe to the US of A, South America, Europe and the Soviet Uniion, where he played for then prime minister Nikita Kruschev. Ernesto Cortazar the 2nd continues to compose and sing to this day.
